Test account

A test platform, aka OTE (Operational Test Environment), is provided to allow you to familiarize yourself with the API and test its integration into your system.

This environment is a copy of the production platform. Thus, each operation is processed in the same way and follow the same workflow but, instead of connecting to registries, operations are internally validated.

Conditions of access

The platform is separated from the production, so you must have a test account. Just like your production account, you must Sign-up on our website.

Therefore you receive a new ID specifically on OTE platform.

The address of the file depends on the version, please check release notes to know current OTE WSDL.

Fonctionnement

Name servers

We provide two dedicated nameservers for OTE

ns1-ote.netim.net
ns2-ote.netim.net

You can use these nameservers for all domain names and particularly for extensions that need a zonecheck.

Domains are installed within minutes and our script for zonecheck is processed every 15 minutes

Availability checks

The availability check is performed only in our database. Thus a domain you have registered in OTE will returns the correct result or an error if you try to register it again.

Restrictions

Since domains and operations are not initiated to registries, some restrictions are imposed:

• Domain names are not registered in live => They do not work in real.

• Complex Operations such as domainTransferIn and domainTransferTrade can't be processed => these operations are closed

• Some operations requires a successfull DNS test (zonecheck) even in test mode => if you use your own nameservers you must install your test domains onto them
